PTD-DBM
Also known as Protein Transduction Domain–Dishevelled Binding Motif, CXXC5-Dvl disrupting peptide
A cell-penetrating peptide that disrupts the CXXC5–Dishevelled interaction to activate Wnt/β-catenin signaling, studied topically for hair regrowth.

Reconstitution
Commonly sold as a 5 mg lyophilized vial; for topical research it is dissolved in bacteriostatic water or a carrier solution and applied to the scalp (not typically injected).
Injection sites
Topical application to the scalp/skin; not an injectable in typical research use.
Storage & handling
Lyophilized: stable months cool/dark, longer frozen. Reconstituted: refrigerate (2–8 °C).

Research summary
PTD-DBM is a synthetic peptide that links a protein-transduction domain to a Dishevelled-binding motif, blocking CXXC5's negative regulation of Wnt/β-catenin signaling. In mouse studies, topical PTD-DBM induced hair regrowth and wound-induced hair-follicle neogenesis, and combination with valproic acid outperformed minoxidil in those models. Evidence is preclinical (rodent/in vitro); human efficacy and safety are not established, and it is not an approved drug. Educational only — not medical advice.
